From Inspiration to Lasting Behaviour Change

The Applied Humour Advantage™ is not a single event, but a structured journey.

One keynote can change the way people think. One workshop can change the way people work. The Applied Humour Advantage™ can change the way an organisation performs.

Gallup research shows that organizations with highly engaged teams see 23% higher profitability, up to 18% higher productivity and 51% less turnover… nothing helps engagement and connection like humor.

Following an initial foundational workshop, Rob Spence works directly with your team as a neutral collaborator. He selects the most relevant topics and exercises to strengthen collaboration, unlock your employees’ full potential, and deliver greater engagement and better overall results.

The Applied Program strategy prioritizes transparent dialogue, empathy, and interpersonal connection… the essential building blocks for using humor effectively.

HOW IT WORKS

The Applied Humour Advantage™ combines an immersive full-day workshop with a structured series of 4 to 12 follow-up half-day workshops, spaced over months rather than days. Each session builds on the last, allowing participants to develop confidence, embed new behaviours, and keep growing together, long after the first workshop ends.

Teams build new habits step by step, using our five-stage development framework.

1. Discover

Rob meets with the team leader(s) to map friction points, then interviews team members directly to uncover areas that need improving or the root causes of misalignment. This sets clear, jointly agreed objectives for the engagement.

2. customize

Findings are compared against the team’s stated goals, and a tailored plan is drafted to close the exact gaps identified in Phase 1.

3. implement

Over the agreed timeline, Rob runs shorter, targeted workshops, exercises and individual check-ins to make sure new collaboration habits are actually implemented, and hold, over time.
