Rob’s incredible comedy career began on a corner of Sydney’s red-light district in 1985… as a street performer. The success of these early shows was huge, and landed him spots in comedy festivals around the globe, including a prime slot with comedy legends at the renowned “Just for Laughs Comedy Festival» in Montreal Canada. In the 90’s Rob toured intensively in Europe with his first one-man-show show titled “Comedy Madness”. In 1999 Rob’s popularity rose so rapidly in Switzerland that he secured his own TV show, «Rob’s Comedy Club», which aired 44 episodes and presented comedy stars from 40 different countries.
Since then, Rob has been on tour through Europe with eight solo theater shows, and wowing audiences in circuses such as Roncalli in Germany and Salto Natale in Switzerland. Rob also continued to perform at festivals, including the Paris comedy festival, where he performed at the iconic Olympia theater in front of 2,000 spectators. He also appeard on multiple television shows, and was the most popular guest artist on “Die Wochenshow”, Germany’s number one TV-format. His last two theater shows were filmed and presented as specials on the Swiss national TV-station SFDRS in 2018 and 2020. In 2018, Rob was awarded the prestigious lifetime achievement award at the Arosa Humor Festival.
Since earning his bachelor’s degree in acting and directing in 1988, Rob has been devoted to coaching new-comers as well as professional comedians. He has passed on his principles of humor to advocate for more fun in the workplace for businesses, fun-parks, tourist commissions and even children recovering from cancer. Rob’s commitment to spreading happiness to all audiences sees him on yearly visits to Swiss schools, where he does «mini-funshops» with children as a UNICEF ambassador. In the past few years, Rob has coached and mentored top CEO’s, speakers, as well as Swiss comedians including Marco Rima, Stephanie Berger, Charles Nguela and Claudio Zuccolini.
During the pandemic, Rob utilized his free time to create the world’s most comprehensive online comedy course, «Comedy-Crash-Course». The course shares his secrets and personal tips in 80 short video tutorials that cover every aspect of stand-up comedy.
In the past years, Rob’s has become an internet success, as many of his videos have gone viral on social media. His balloon sketch alone raked up over 80 million views.
Since 2011, Rob lives in Zug, Switzerland with his wife Silvie and continues to perform on a regular basis in English, German, French and (very bad) Italian.
